The ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app invites you to attend its Conference on the Revision of the Declaration of Helsinki, focused on research in resource-poor settings, which will take place 18-19 January 2024, at the Aula Vecchia del Sinodo in Vatican City.
Developed in 1964 by the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app’s General Assembly, the Declaration of Helsinki (DoH) is a set of ethical principles on human experimentation developed for the medical profession. In 2022, the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app appointed a workgroup to begin the process of revising this seminal document. To encourage as much global participation in the revision process as possible, the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app is collaborating with its members to host a series of regional meetings.
Co-organized by the Pontifical Academy for Life (PAV), the American Medical Association and the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app, the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app’s Conference in Vatican city on the Revision of the Declaration of Helsinki will be focused research in resource-poor settings and provide input on the current draft of the DoH. Please note that this event will be held in person in English and is open to all ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app members and invited guests.
